Colleen + David Engagement Session

When the flowers bloom in Matthaei Botanical Gardens in Ann Arbor, it's the most spectacular sight you could ever imagine seeing. Whether it's spring or fall, the variety of colors that appear makes this place so special. This was an ideal place for Colleen and David's engagement session.

Behind the Scenes

When Colleen reached out to me in August 2024, I was thrilled to be a part of their wedding day. Both of them are nature lovers, which led us to choose this location without hesitation for their engagement. On the day we had scheduled the session, it rained, forcing us to reschedule for another day, which couldn't have been better. The end of September marks a transition from summer to the beautiful fall here in Michigan. The second time we met was fantastic, and the weather was exactly what you would want during this time of the year. My main goal was to evoke the connection Colleen and David would share if they had a walk through the park on their own. Along with capturing the essence of the gardens, it created a story that will be remembered forever.
